  Ways To Turn Evil
  Sungura

So I was stupid and couldn't resist the urge to capture a BORG Sphere, but in the processI gained 800k Good Alignment, and I am haveing a hell of a time getting it back down. So what I am asking, what are some go evil tricks. I have tried: -Getting rebusted at a port (stops working when you run out of holds) -Posting a reward (can't get into underground w/ 800K alignment) -Interdicting and killing federation ships (really slow and very costly when trading to earn money) Any other ideas?

Mongoose

Self-destruct, bust a couple mil worth of planets, and you're back in business.

severian

You could always destroy some ports, again a costly manuver. Best way to do it quickly (I think you know this, but will say it anyway) is to pod and destroy blues. (This method is often more fun anyway)

Lexington Smith

I know you can get murdered at the underground and get reset to 0 0, but seeing as how you can't get into the underground you cant get murdered. Is there a way to get murdered at SD without going into the underground? like if you just sit at the SD prompt and keep typing stuff that doesn't go any where, I know you'll loose your cash, but will you get murdered if you continue?

DarkOne

Fastest and less expensive way is CBY then bust 20-30 planets and your good to go... might want to use other options if you are in a life limited game of course. But Mongoose was right on the first post.

Killing Colonist off a planet is a fast way!

Quote Warchild: Killing Colonist off a planet is a fast way!

Only good once a day, one load, least ways, in my neighborhood. 'Tis why, if you want to unload a bunch of CITs (e.g., clear off Sol) without a loss of points, you chuck one guy first.

Mongoose

And an expensive way. Plus if you have a planet with colos, you generally don't want to kill them. Sometimes killing fighters is a good way to swing alignment, if you can get someone with the right alignment to put some down for you.

A really good way to turn evil.. FAST and CHEAP: Charge up your shields good for this one. Attack a starport, taking note of it's battle defence rating. Use only enough figs to cripple the starport. The idea here is to get the starport down to a level where they can only hit you for 10-30 battle points per attack. At this point, keep using only 1 fig per attack to draw the battle out for as long as possible. You get -5 alignment for each attack, and you only lose 1 fig + 10-30 shields each time. Works like a charm.

Shorty

Nice idea but its still prolly cheaper and less time consuming this way. Burn up all your turns for the day doing whatever you normally would so you dont waste them. Then buy a Scout...leave your good ship in a safe place and take 0 money with you and go back to Stardock. It doesnt matter if your good or evil but if you keep trying to get into the underground or keep giving them the wrong password they will eventually murder you and you will start the next day at 0 and 0 again. You still have your ship and a new Scout and you can go from there. You didnt waste money or turns or fighters or time to do it either.

He is too good to even get to the underground. However do the same thing you propose but instead of go in to underground he should CBY giving him -10 in alignemnt. If he does it just before midnight he can then log back in directly after midnight and jump into his normal ship and be on his way. Bust a few planets and exp and alignment is once again good. Will cost you a 25k scout and maybe a mill in planets and dets.

Dave

Well yes the last reply is ok, but you lose all your exp. So the best way is just to kill off a ton of fighters. Its the fastest. You can also kill off colonests. but you only lose 1 for every colonest you kill, but like I said, killing off good fighters is the fastest.

SLAGGATHOR

he said 800k alignment, if he kills 10 a day it will take 8000 days... kill yourself, start over and try not to kill bad guys next time...

Quick way to do it by killing colonists is put them on a planet and ZDY the planet with them on (be prepare to loose your ship and take a pod). This will drop the alignment quite a bit. But absolute cheapest and quickest way (no with that high alignment you can not rob a port and get busted nor can you get to underground to get murdered) is to buy a junk ship right before midnight. drop all cash of you. Leave your old good ship at sector 1 (watch out if extern is at midnight then you need to park it outside fedspace or lose it) jump into your junk ship and CBY. Your not instantly -10 alignment. First minute after midninght you can log back in with your new nice -10 alignment. Then it's planet busting time. to get your experience up. Feel free also to pickup 90 colos at terra and jettison them for a nice -100 alignment. Of course before midnight you run up your turns and the only thing it will cost you is that junk ship and some experience.

Orion Blastar

Find another blue, and have him place personal figs in a sector. Attack the figs in a low off odds ship. The more figs you lose the more alignment you will lose. use http://www.tw-cabal.com/ and look up the formula's for gaining/losing alignment by attacking figs based on the blue's alignment. The higher his/her alignment is, the more alignment you will lose. You can pay back the blue for the figs later or use the cash you have to bribe him to drop figs for you to attack and go red again. Everything else takes too much time or requires you to get blown up.

The-Pro

Make a corporation, drop off a bunch of fighters in some sector on toll collecting, then leave the corporation and kill the fighters.

eXcalibur

This might piss off your sysop a bit, but if you curse at the grimy trader - you'll lose one alignment point for each curse. There's no limit on how long you can do it. The only downside is that it costs you one exp point too... which kinda sucks, but then again, it costs you NOTHING in resources. I guess it just depends on which you value more at that particular point in the game - exp or resources.

distruzione

hey why dont u drop some corporate figters then leave the corp kill them then rejoin the corp.
